Where to Stay for Acadia National Park

There are no hotels or lodges inside Acadia — you stay in the gateway towns. Bar Harbor is the main base, with quieter choices on the southwest side of the island.

Budget

Edenbrook Motel, The Bar Harbor Motel, and Acadia Inn are reliable lower-cost options in and around Bar Harbor. Rates vary by season; check live availability.

Mid-Range

Atlantic Oceanside, Acadia Hotel–Ocean View, and Wonder View Inn offer comfortable, well-located stays.

Luxury

For the top tier, look at the Bar Harbor Inn, West Street Hotel, Harborside Hotel Spa & Marina, and Bluenose Inn — several are oceanfront.

The Quiet Side

For a calmer base near the west side of the park, consider Lindenwood Inn or Harbour Cottage Inn in Southwest Harbor.

When to Book

Peak season is July–August, with September foliage close behind. Bar Harbor fills up — book well ahead for summer dates. Exact sell-out timing varies year to year.
